Album Cover: I'm a Woman
The gifted songwriting partnership of Leiber and Stoller provided Peggy Lee with the title song of this album - which also contain's this week's opening number, The Alley Cat Song. The artwork features a photo of Miss Lee, complete with hallmark blonde hair, immaculate lipstick and beauty spot.
This was a vintage period for her voice, too. Impeccable diction and enunciation, complemented by her innate ability to swing effortlessly, whilst create an intimacy that is practically unrivalled to this day.
